Bill Tschida Welcome Back to School! 2010-2011 Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year! It seems that summer goes by much too quickly. Everyone at Holy Trinity is excited to be back. Mrs. Kahle and the student council members have been busy creating some new signs for school. They also took on the job of painting the locker rooms. I am proud of how the students have taken ownership for their school and taken an active role in helping to improve it. Plus, they do great work. This summer, there was a nice ceremony before the elementary school demolition began. Fr. Tony talked about the loss of the building being like a death. The old elementary has many memories for so many people. But, as Fr. Tony stated, beyond death there is a chance for new birth and growth. This is evident through our generous parishioners and friends who helped build the new elementary in 2006. Today, we have a safe, healthy environment for our current and future students to receive a quality Catholic education. The new year brings opportunities for our students to grow academically, spiritually and socially. Dances, service projects, mission trips and even research papers are all experiences that will create memories that last a lifetime. It’s an exciting time for our foreign student program. We will have nine foreign exchange students attending Holy Trinity. They are from South Korea, Vietnam, China, Mexico, Guatemala and Spain. These students bring diversity and culture to Holy Trinity. Our students not only learn from them, but have the opportunity to share traditions and customs with these incoming students. We deeply appreciate those who have chosen to serve as host families. We know that some of the relationships built this year will last for decades.
